About CHI*Atlanta

CHI*Atlanta is the Atlanta chapter for the ACM Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction (SIGCHI). That’s a fancy way of saying we’re Atlanta’s largest and most active group of professionals interested in how people experience technology.

We’ve been around for 12 years. In that time, we’ve built a strong community of 150-200 members from the corporate, government, agency, and academic worlds. Our professional members have job titles such as information architect, user experience designer, interaction designer, content strategist, usability analyst, researcher, and human factors engineer. We also have many student members.

Membership is inexpensive, educational—and above all fun. Learn more about membership and how to join.

Each year we offer at least the following. We’re always thinking of new ways to engage our membership and may add a surprise to the mix, too.

  1. 8 events with a mix of local and national speakers…food too!
  2. A formal summer social
  3. Informal socials with other organizations
  4. Networking events and opportunities
  5. Job announcements

CHI*Atlanta is a non-profit organization managed by the Executive Committee Board elected to two-year terms.
