Speaker(s): CDC's eHealth Team
Location: Georgia Institute of Technology, GVU Center

Over the past 18 months, CDC's eHealth Marketing Division, part of CDC's National Center for Health Marketing, has accelerated the use of electronic media to disseminate health information and engage users in healthy behaviors. In addition to the new CDC.gov Web site, CDC is using social media and new media to provide critical health and safety information when, where, and how users what that info:
•Virtual Worlds
•Mobile Phone Efforts
•Web Dialog with the General Public
•Social Networks
•Google Gadgets
•Social Bookmarking
•Email Alerts, e-Cards, and more
Join CDC's eHealth Team as they share what they've done to engage CDC staff and contractors in user-centered design efforts, to increase CDC adoption of innovative marketing and communication methods, and to monitor and share results within CDC and with government and health-related organizations.
